High Lakes - Indian Peaks Wilderness
A tradition almost as old as the club...
Stocking the high lakes in the Indian Peaks Wilderness has been a duty of the fish and game club for the majority of it's existence. Originally done using horses and milk jugs, today we backpack in juvenile trout to lakes designated for stocking that year.
As more solutions to stocking fish in remote areas become feasible, it makes this method of stocking fish less necessary. But we still strive to provide this service to any situation which may require a more delicate handling of the stocking.
